Helping Your Child Smile with Confidence

At Sunshine Dentistry, we understand that children care about how their smiles look. Whether your child has a chipped tooth, discoloration, or simply wants a brighter smile, our cosmetic dentistry services can help them feel more confident while maintaining the health and natural appearance of their teeth.

We offer gentle, age-appropriate cosmetic treatments designed specifically for children's developing smiles.

Bonding for Children

Cosmetic bonding is the process of filling or restoring teeth with a tooth-colored material in order to maintain a natural appearance. This gentle procedure is ideal for:

  • Repairing chipped or cracked teeth
  • Filling small cavities with natural-looking materials
  • Improving the appearance of discolored teeth
  • Closing small gaps between teeth

The tooth-colored composite material blends seamlessly with your child's natural teeth, so repairs are virtually invisible.

Teeth Whitening for Children

Whitening, also known as bleaching, is the procedure used to brighten teeth. We carefully evaluate each child to ensure whitening is appropriate for their age and dental development.

In-office whitening usually requires only one office visit. A protective gel or rubber shield is placed over the gums to protect the soft tissue. A bleaching agent containing carbamide peroxide is applied to the teeth, and a laser light is then used to enhance the action of the whitening agent.

We take special care to ensure the procedure is comfortable and safe for young patients.

A Gentle, Caring Approach

We know that many children feel nervous about dental visits. Our team takes the time to explain each step in language your child can understand, and we work at a pace that keeps them comfortable. Our goal is to help your child leave with a smile they're proud to show off.

Common questions
Is teeth whitening safe for children?+

We carefully evaluate each child to determine if whitening is appropriate based on their age and dental development. We only recommend whitening when it is safe and beneficial for your child's specific situation.

How long does cosmetic bonding last?+

With proper care, cosmetic bonding can last several years. We'll show your child how to care for their bonded teeth to help the results last as long as possible.

Will the procedures hurt?+

Both bonding and whitening are generally comfortable procedures. We use protective measures and take our time to ensure your child feels at ease throughout the visit.
