Restore Your Smile with Custom Dentures

A denture replaces multiple missing teeth, helping you eat, speak, and smile with confidence again. At Sunshine Dentistry, we create custom dentures tailored to your unique needs and designed to look natural and feel comfortable.

Dentures can be fixed or removable, partial or full, and implant supported or not. We'll help you choose the best option based on your oral health, lifestyle, and budget.

Traditional Removable Dentures

Traditional dentures are removable and do not use implants. Each denture includes an acrylic base that is custom-made in our dental laboratory to mimic the appearance of natural gums. This base sits over your gums, holding the denture securely in place.

Full Dentures for Patients Missing All Teeth

A complete (full) denture is made after all the teeth in the upper and/or lower jaw have been removed and the gum tissue has healed. Full dentures replace an entire arch of teeth and restore your ability to chew and speak normally.

Denture paste or adhesive is often used to assist in holding the denture in place. Removable dentures can be taken out and cleaned when not being worn, making daily care simple and straightforward.

Partial Dentures for Patients Missing Multiple Teeth

A traditional partial denture is a removable solution for replacing many teeth in one arch when there are still some natural teeth present. The acrylic base contains metal attachments that wrap around your existing teeth for added support and stability.

Partial dentures can also be attached to crowns on either side of the denture for enhanced retention. Like full dentures, removable partial dentures can be taken out and cleaned when not being worn.

Implant-Supported Dentures

For patients seeking a more secure, permanent solution, we also offer implant-supported dentures. These fixed dentures rely on dental implants for attachment, providing superior stability and eliminating the need for adhesives.

Common questions
How long does it take to get used to wearing dentures?+

Most patients adjust to their new dentures within a few weeks. It's normal to experience some initial discomfort or difficulty speaking and eating, but these issues typically improve as your mouth adapts. We're here to help with adjustments if needed.

Can I sleep with my dentures in?+

We generally recommend removing your dentures at night to give your gums a chance to rest and to allow you to clean them thoroughly. However, we'll provide personalized guidance based on your specific situation.

What is the difference between full and partial dentures?+

Full dentures replace all the teeth in an upper or lower arch and are used when you have no remaining natural teeth. Partial dentures replace multiple missing teeth when you still have some natural teeth remaining, and they use metal attachments for added support.
